1. Is this a safe product?
      The product has been developed to KONE’s high standards and has been designed to comply with all international escalator codes.

2. Is this a reliable product?
      The product has been designed with reliability in mind and incorporates highly durable components.

3. Does the addition of KONE MovingMedia impact the performance of the product?
       Installation of a complete step band or individual KONE MovingMedia steps will have no impact on the performance of the escalator.

4. How is the warranty impacted by installation of KONE MovingMedia?
      KONE MovingMedia is fully supported and warranted by KONE in the same way as the rest of the escalator.

5. How is KONE MovingMedia installed?
      New escalators with KONE MovingMedia specified are delivered to the job site with the product pre-installed. Existing escalators can be converted by replacing existing steps with fully compatible KONE MovingMedia steps.

6. How long does KONE MovingMedia installation take?
      Installation time is dependent upon the number of steps being installed; a typical rise escalator of 70 steps can be completed in a day. Installation can be conducted outside of normal operating hours if necessary.

7. What is the expected life of a KONE MovingMedia step?
      The step itself will have an equivalent lifespan to any other KONE step. The lifespan of the polycarbonate coverplate used to protect the sign will be dependent upon factors such as location, environmental conditions and traffic volume.

8. How will the product be maintained?

      Maintenance will be conducted by KONE trained personnel and will consist of regular visual inspection, cleaning and the occasional replacement of components. Lense cover cleaning will be dependant on the contract arrangement.

9. Is this product more expensive than normal escalators?
      Purchasers of KONE MovingMedia escalators are expected to recover the cost of their investment from a product capable of generating revenues for the life of the escalator.

10. Is this product compatible with all escalator types?
      Media steps are compatible with most O&K and KONE escalator types, limited to step widths of 800mm and 1000mm. Please contact you local sales office to confirm compatibility.
